Episode 3: Pups Beat The Heat!

At Neo Terror’s new headquarters, several Axto droids were operating on Ryder, Jake, and Mayor Humdinger, all of which were unconscious and strapped to boards. The three humans had all their memories forcefully ripped out of them (manifesting as blue light) and replaced with all of Neo Terror’s information. Then they were dipped into vats of molten durasteel for several minutes.

Across them stood a masked figure in a black robe and hood. Complete with a red lightsaber, he looked similarly to Darth Vader except his chrome mask had a downward-pointing triangular-shaped visor and his lightsaber ended in a tuning fork. Referring to himself as Darth Longinus, he began to speak in a dark voice to the Axto. “Neo Terror survivors, have we gotten our new commanders ready?”

One of the Axto spoke, “My lord, you just came at the right time! One of them is ready to awaken from the molten durasteel. But he’s just a prototype.” They then pulled Jake out of the molten durasteel as the first of their new Great Executives of Neo Terror: Jaikaaen, an elemental-specialist droid with a blue conical helmet. “The Paw Patrol pups may have been able to beat up us Axto, but they’re completely unprepared for our extreme disasters that Rescue Force and Fire explosively suppressed! If we managed to capture their owners, then imagine how well the rest of Adventure Bay would fare!”

Longinus was eager to test Jaikaaen out. “That’s a great idea! We can recycle our past schemes until we can do something with the memories we extracted from the humans that our new Executives used to be. Now Jaikaaen, you re-create our artificial sun.”

Jaikaaen stepped up to a round table and moved his hands in a circle in front of him while chanting: “Bereke, bereke! I, Jaikaaen of the Elements, summon forth Neo Terror’s artificial sun!” A huge fireball rose up from the table and went through the ceiling into orbit. Jaikaaen then went back into the molten durasteel for further development.

The Paw Patrol pups got their rescue spirit back in the game after Reiji pet and fed them. He had also set up a replacement for the destroyed Pup Pad – the Rescue Eye satellite used back in Rescue Force to detect extreme disasters, victims, and droids. The satellite’s siren sounded and the pup tags glowed. “You came just in time, Everest”, remarked Marshall. “There’s an extreme disaster!”

Chase shouted, “Paw Patrol ready for action, R-r-Reiji sir!” It took him a lot of willpower not to say Ryder’s name.

Reiji then proceeded to provide the mission briefing. “Neo Terror has resummoned its artificial sun.”

He and the pups all felt hot and began to sweat lightly. “Is it hot in here or what?” remarked Rocky. Then Marshall hit Rocky with a jet of water from his water cannon. “Noooooo!”


Then Rocky shook himself dry, conveniently cooling down the other pups and Reiji. Reiji continued, “They’re wreaking havoc on Adventure Bay with this heat wave. Chase, Skye, use your drone and helicopter to provide air surveillance. If and when any droids interfere with your friends’ rescue efforts, destroy the droids.

“These paws uphold the laws!”

Reiji continued, “Everest, use your snowball arm cannon to cool down the overheated swimming pool!”

“Ice or snow, I’m ready to go!”

(Reiji) “Zuma, you go with Everest in case there are any aqua droids ready to attack her.”

“Let’s dive in!”

(Reiji) “Marshall, Rubble, extinguish any fires that start because of the sun!”

“I’m fired up!”

“Rubble on the double!”

Reiji respectively handed Marshall and Rocky the Break Axe and Break Hammer used in Rescue Force. “Marshall and Rocky, use these to break down any doors, debris, or droids in the way.”

“Green means go!” Rocky and Marshall held up their respective weapons with their left front legs, then stashed them in their pup packs.

“And one more thing, pups.” Reiji offered each of the pups a Wave Searcher. “It’ll help you locate trapped victims faster. There’s also a counter that tells the entire Paw Patrol how many victims are left in the area. Now Paw Patrol is on a roll!” He intentionally borrowed Ryder’s catchphrase. “So sorry pups, did I break your tender little hearts again?”

Rocky replied, “No, this is what Ryder would want us to do. It’s for him.”




The Paw Patrol pups arrived at the Adventure Bay crisis site. Chase’s drone and Skye’s helicopter found several people stuck in beaten, immobile, heated cars that became ovens. Both pups barked and stated, “Power Search! Wave Search!” and were treated to a radar of trapped people. “10 survivors left.” Chase and Skye used their zipline and harness to pull open a locked and heated car door, freeing the survivor. “9 left.” One of the cars was in the way of an AT-AT, about to be stomped flat. Using his police car winch, Chase pulled the car out of the way while Skye tied up the AT-AT’s legs, immobilizing it while Chase jammed its laser cannons with tennis balls. The plugged cannons caused the AT-AT’s head to explode while the body fell to the floor sideways. It would have crushed a second car if Rubble hadn’t pushed the car out of the way using his bulldozer. Chase and Skye removed the heated and locked doors the same way as before. “7 left.”

Meanwhile, Everest arrived at an overheated pool, cooling it down with snowballs while quickly dodging lasers that came out of it. “Oh no, aqua droids! Since when did Neo Terror have ‘em?!?”

(flashback)

Cap ‘n Turbot was the first to meet Neo Terror’s prototype aqua droids. “Oh hey, droids! I was just looking for something to photograph.” As he took a picture of them, they shot back at him and Wally, sank his boat, and pulled him down when he tried to resurface, drowning him.

This was followed by a small hologram of Darth Longinus appearing above one of the aqua droids’ arms. “We could use Cap’n Turbot’s memories too for our navy.”

Everest shot back at the droids while continuing to dodge their lasers. Her snowballs, still dissolving in the water, didn’t hit any of the droids. One droid taunted her, “Is that all you got?!?” Then one, shivering a bit, jumped out at her. She pulled his arm cannon out of his socket, kicked him aside, and shot the other droids with it before shooting more snowballs into the water. “I wasn’t aiming the snowballs at you guys…” The other droids felt themselves slowly freezing up, then one pulled up a hostage at the surface.

“If you freeze this pool up, you’ll kill the hostage.”

Zuma, able to swim through the almost-frozen water, snuck behind the droid and tore its core out, releasing the hostage. “6 left.” The others turned around and shot at Zuma, leaving painful burns on his torso. “Ouch!”

“Arctic Cannon!” Everest froze the water solid completely, immobilizing both Zuma and the droids. She then used her ice pick to dig through the ice, shatter the frozen droids, and get Zuma and the hostage out. The freezing softened up Zuma’s burns, and when Everest took him back outside, he quickly thawed out none the worse for wear.

Marshall, Rubble, and Rocky were led to a heated building with five survivors. The three prepared to break down the door with the axe, shovel, and hammer, hitting the door multiple times until it fell over with a thud. Rocky, sensing a victim trapped in a locker, unscrewed the hinges with his dual arm. Marshall prepared to smash it, but Rubble stopped him. “There’s someone stuck in there!” Then Marshall let Rocky harmlessly free the victim and be thanked. “5 left.” Marshall then untied a bound victim. “4 left.” Then some droids burst in followed by some fire. A shocked Marshall yelled…



While Rocky deflected some droid lasers back to the droids’ faces, Rubble threw sand on the fire to weaken it, and Marshall finished off the fire with his water cannon. Despite some minor painful burns, the three pups were able to fight off twelve more droids with their melee weapons before Marshall healed the team with ice packs and medkits and began to retreat.

As more droids approached the now-open pups, Everest and Zuma charged in and shot the droids down. “Marshall, leave these droids to us! You save the remaining two survivors! Arctic Cannon!” She then shot her freezing blast into the hallway, putting it on ice completely. This extinguished the rest of the fire, making it safe for Marshall to rescue the survivors.

With his EMT skills, Marshall treated two more burn victims while Rocky and Rubble shielded him from lightsaber droids with the lightsaber-deflecting screwdriver and shovel. “1 left. Bark! Water Cannon!” Marshall’s jet of water took out both the lightsaber droids and the remaining fire. Then all the pups left the building. “The last survivor isn’t in this building.”

Right before Chase and Skye could save the last car-trapped survivor, one more lightsaber droid cut both the harness and zipline, rendering them temporarily unusable. Then it jumped at Skye. She ejected right before it sliced her helicopter in half, then she did a somersault, grabbed the droid, and threw it into the distance. The halved helicopter fell to the ground in flames, prompting Marshall and Everest to slide in and effortlessly put it out. Skye shot at the droid only to have her shot deflected. Then she dodged five swings from it while Chase hit it in the back with tennis balls. Then Skye got in a successful shot that destroyed the droid.

“Woof! Break Axe!” Marshall cut the last locked car holding a survivor in half, freeing him. “0 left. That’s all, folks!” Then the artificial sun started descending, intending to incinerate Adventure Bay completely. “Oh no, the world’s ending.”

Then Reiji contacted Marshall, Everest and Skye using their pup tags. “And you can stop the end of the world now! Time to explosively suppress that sun disaster with a Climax Rescue.”



“Woof!” Marshall summoned his fire truck. “Climax Rescue: Whale Impact!” Both he and his truck shot a massive jet of water at the artificial sun.

Everest joined in. “Climax Rescue: Let it GOOOOO!” She stood on her hind legs, formed an arm cannon, pulled a bigger cannon from her pup pack, and shot a huge freeze ray at the artificial sun, causing it to freeze up.

Then Skye finished it off with one last blaster bolt. As the artificial sun exploded, water and snow scattered everywhere, putting out any remaining fire and creating a rainbow. With Marshall and Everest, she stood on the fire truck and announced, “Explosively completed!”

Back at the Lookout, Reiji rewarded the pups with treats and playtime. “That sure was fun”, said Everest. “Are all of our future rescues going to be like this?”

Reiji relied, “Yes. But as Ryder and Jake found out the hard way, you’ll have to take them much more seriously than when you’re on your own preschool show.”

Back at the Neo Terror HQ, Darth Longinus had watched a video clip of the droids and disaster being destroyed. “Paw Patrol. Don’t expect exact replicas of either your show or Rescue Force’s. BWAHAHAHAHAHA, etc.”


Episode 4: Neo Terror has grown a giant multi-tentacled Piranha Plant to cover Adventure Bay in plants! Can the Paw Patrol pluck it?
